Professor James Strong

1822 – 1894

Dr. James Strong was born August 14, 1822 in New York City, New York. He was a Professor of Biblical Literature at Troy University from 1858 until 1861. Dr. Strong became Professor of Exegetical Theology at Drew Theological Seminary in 1868. Dr. Strong died at Round Lake, New York in 1894.

Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible was compiled by Dr. Strong and his staff over a thirty-five year period. The Concordance was first published in 1890. Since then Strong's Concordance coding system is widely used by many languages and versions of the Scriptures. MKL Resources, LLC is pleased to add Strong's Concordance for the Hebrew Bible.
